Extra files for compiled HTML

Microsoft compiled HTML help (.CHM) requires additional files for Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems. These may have already been installed by other applications—you will need to check your system (and that of your end-users).

Used for Automating the installation a group of Microsoft HTML Help system files that are required for HTML Help functionality. Additional functionality (browse sequence used in the sample help).

To manually install and register
  1. Save the file to any convenient location.
  2. Double-click HHUPD.EXE. It automatically installs and registers the required system files.
  1. Unzip the file.
  2. Copy HHActiveX.DLL to Windows\System.
  3. In the Run dialog box (Start, Run) type:
    regsvr32 hhactivex.dll
